Ain't going back to Barton Hollow

Hi Gang it's that time again to share some magic, so here's what I have been working on,
First up is the book I found magic in, there is lots of other as I love to read. Recently I read 'The Night Circus' By Erin Morgenstern. If you haven't read it, I can't recommend it enough. I used my favourite quotes below.

So you might have heard me go on about how I have recently stumbled across The Civil Wars- a bit gutted at how late I am to the party and now they have split. Anyway what put me onto them was hearing was the song 'Barton Hollow' after listening to this song I was inspired to do some more spooky art for my book based on the song. When I listen to it, there are so many ideas it conjures up. Go check it out- preferably give it a listen and then look at my take on it.

All Magic comes with a price

Wow here we are with another season and it's Magic! which means I can still be creepy and still use my altered book! Below is the start I have made to Magic:

As you can see I have opted for the dark side of magic...and with magic comes a new theme when it comes to photographing my journal so look out for some acid trip colours.

Below is the last of my spooky words inspired art which I hadn't got around to posting (check out my cool Gremlins blouse in the background) .

Lastly, if you followed my blog from the beginning you may remember the material I made below at the London Fashion School. I completely forgot about it and dug it out the other day and thought it tied in nicely to the creepy theme.

Throw back Thursday

Lovely Julia suggest that we use our break in between season to post some of favourite pages. As I still quite new to the world of art journaling it's interesting to look at what my pages started like and how they have evolved. So while some the below are my favourites I thought it was interesting to look at my style and see how it's evolved. 

Going forward I think I need to photograph some of my pages better- I go for the art approach (can't help it) when I think I just need to take a straight forward picture so the page can be seen clearly....goals for next season!

This is Halloween!!

Happy Halloween gang!!! As usual I'm late with the blog post, but it's all been on Instagram! I'm so sad these are the last prompts for the season of words, this by far as been my favourite season as I think people can tell I really committed to my death theme- even down to my photo staging!

I am definitely going to carry on my altered book and carry on with any spooky or death like art I want to produce. Below is the latest in my book.
